ES Fall Festival

The Edgeworth Elementary Fall Festival is an active afternoon during which students participate in a costume parade and classroom parties organized by the PTA. As the Fall Festival planning has started, we would like to remind everyone that latex products such as latex balloons and latex masks are prohibited in Quaker Valley Schools. 

The kindergarten parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. More information will be provided to parents by the kindergarten teachers. 

For students in grades one through five, the parade will begin at 2:20 p.m. The parade will form in the gym and then proceed outside to circle the playground. Those who wish to view the parade should stand inside the playground area behind the cones. If it is a cold day, please dress your child with warm clothes under his/her costume. In the event of inclement weather, the outside parade will be cancelled. Students should bring their costumes to school in a bag or carrying case. We know that some costumes may be too large for students to take on the bus. If you need to deliver an outfit, please bring it to the office by 1:30 p.m. 

Please plan costumes that students can put on by themselves. Sometimes our primary students may need help with their outfits. Teachers and support faculty will be available to assist students. We encourage students and parents to select appropriate fall festival outfits. Costumes may not include any look-a-like or pretend weapons such as guns, knives, swords, hatchets, etc. If your child’s costume includes a mask, please be sure that he/she can see clearly. 

The Elementary Snack Guidelines for all school-day PTA/HSA sponsored parties require us to offer all students the same district approved snack. Students will be offered popcorn and water during the party. Students should not bring edible treats to share with classmates. Although appreciated, any food or beverage donations will be returned to the donating family.

Parents may come to the Edgeworth playground area at 2:20 p.m. to view the parade. Please note, only parents who have pre-registered as PTA Fall Party Volunteer are permitted to attend the classroom parties.
