Join us on Tuesday, November 15th at 9:15AM for our second Open Meeting of the year. Mike Lewis, Director of Student Services will be our guest speaker. As Director of Student Services, Mike is responsible for overseeing our special education department, and our support staff such as our paraprofessionals, nurses, counselors, academic specialists, and English as a second language teachers. Additionally, he is the district's Federal Programs Coordinator (K-5 reading support) and the district's homeless/foster student Liaison. We asked that Mike discuss the difference between an IEP and 504. He will also discuss the services available for high achieving students and the supports that come from our academic specialists.

We will also continue to discuss our plans for the year and various ways to get involved. We desperately need volunteers for many committees. If you can only come for part of the meeting, that is no problem. We completely understand how busy schedules are and we truly appreciate you giving us any of your time.

Please note that an RSVP is not necessary and a volunteer badge is not required to attend the meeting. Younger siblings are welcome.
