Quaker Valley High School students are celebrating Black History Month by reading stories to students in grades K-3. The QVHS Black Student Union organized the high school students' visit to Osborne and Edgeworth Elementary Schools on Thursday, February 17. The students brought some of their favorite children's books to read to the classes.
“I am extremely proud of our students and staff for recognizing the importance of celebrating and honoring Black History Month. This event allows our high school students a chance to use their platforms and voices to impact our younger students and school community in a positive way. I would also like to thank the Quaker Valley Administrative Staff for their support," says Mr. Floyd Faulkner, advisor for the Black Student Union.
