Quaker Valley School District welcomes Mr. Thomas Liberty as the newest member of the Quaker Valley School District Police. The Quaker Valley School Board unanimously approved his appointment 8-0 on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
Liberty joins Quaker Valley after serving as an officer with the New Sewickley Police Department for the past 21 years. Liberty also served for the past eight years as a school resource officer in the Freedom Area School District where he implemented a variety of programs and safety protocols including safety drills, classes for students, and FedEx Operation Safe Driver Teens and Trucks.
In 2019, he was recognized with the Guy “Tippy” Tyler Juvenile Justice Award from the Beaver County District Attorney’s office. This award is given to officers who display exemplary work and outstanding achievement in the area of juvenile justice and education.
He will join the district in early November and will focus his time on the Edgeworth and Osborne Elementary buildings.
