Quaker Valley Leaders Honored at 2024 PASCD Annual Conference

Quaker Valley School District leaders took center stage at the Pennsylvania Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (PASCD) Annual Conference, earning top accolades and sharing their expertise with educators from across the state.

Dr. Tammy A. Andreyko, Superintendent of Quaker Valley School District, was awarded the 2024 Outstanding Supervision Leadership Award. This prestigious honor recognizes PASCD members who demonstrate exceptional contributions in supervision, leadership, and innovation to enhance educational outcomes.

Dr. Andreyko shared her appreciation for the PASCD organization and her award: “PASCD’s commitment to advancing curriculum development, supervision, instruction, and professional growth is an inspiration to all educators striving to make a difference.”

Dr. Andreyko has served as superintendent at Quaker Valley for the past 5 years and has led the District as a proud member of the League of Innovative Schools. Her work exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to education, with a focus on sound instructional practices and equitable learning opportunities for all students, “This recognition reflects the incredible support and hard work of the school leaders, staff, and community at Quaker Valley. I share this honor with them and remain committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and student success.”

Her many accomplishments underscore her tireless dedication to empowering educators and inspiring students.

Also celebrated at the conference was Dr. Susan Gentile, recipient of the 2024 President’s Award. This honor is presented annually to an individual who has made a profound and lasting impact on PASCD, advancing its mission and driving growth and transformation.

Dr. Gentile’s career spans multiple leadership roles, including middle and high school teacher, high school assistant principal, elementary school principal, and director of instruction and learning. Her unwavering passion for curriculum development and her commitment to innovation have had a transformative impact on both instructional practices and student learning.

Dr. Gentile reflected, “It is truly an honor to receive the PASCD President’s award. Serving on the PASCD Executive Board alongside so many incredibly talented and dedicated educators has continually inspired me to advocate for innovative practices that support both educators and students.

Further showcasing Quaker Valley’s influence, educators Karen Crawford and Katie Hanna were recognized as part of PASCD’s Emerging Leaders program.  Mrs. Hanna also participated in a panel discussion, sharing insights and best practices with fellow attendees, further reinforcing the district’s reputation for excellence and innovation in education.

“I am privileged to have been a PASCD member for more than 20 years. Throughout my career I have been able to work alongside passionate leaders and educators, contributing to initiatives that empower students and support educational excellence,” Dr. Andreyko reflected. “From assisting with dissertation committees to serving on leadership committees that advocate for female administrators and striving to improve student achievement at Quaker Valley School District. It was truly an honor to be recognized alongside Dr. Gentile and to celebrate the work of our emerging leaders at Quaker Valley.”
