Quaker Valley Students Participate in the 2025 Science Bowl Competition

Two Quaker Valley teams, representing Edgeworth and Osborne Elementary Schools, competed in the Science Bowl held at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History on Friday, February 7, 2025. Quaker Valley students completed preliminary in-class competitions to qualify to attend the Science Bowl. The following teams represented QV:

  • Edgeworth Elementary fifth graders: Parker Eldridge, Ben Moyer, Dalton Hairston, and Julia Ott
  • Osborne Elementary fifth graders: Grant Faulkner, Joseph Groeller, Violet Scalzi, and Dylan Schillo

Each team completed three different challenges, including Dino DC: Superheroes vs. Villains in the Dinosaurs in Their Time exhibit; Fur, Feathers, and Scales in the Foster Overlook, and Wildlife and Botany Trivia in the Halls of African and North American Wildlife.  Teams also had the opportunity to explore additional exhibits in the museum galleries.

Congratulations to the Edgeworth team, who earned a first place finish at the event. Way to go Quaker Valley!
