Quaker Valley Names Tom Eshenbaugh Football Head Coach

Quaker Valley School District is proud to announce the hiring of Tom Eshenbaugh as the new varsity football head coach, beginning with the 2025 fall season. Eshenbaugh brings more than a decade of coaching experience, deep community roots, and a passion for developing student-athletes on and off the field.

Coach Eshenbaugh returns to Quaker Valley after most recently serving as the Special Teams Coordinator and position coach for running backs, tight ends, and defensive backs at Freedom Area High School.

“We are excited to welcome Tom back to Quaker Valley as our Head Football Coach,” said Mike Mastroianni, Quaker Valley Athletic Director. “Tom has always demonstrated outstanding leadership and we look forward to his guidance and mentorship of our entire football program.”

Eshenbaugh’s long-standing connection to the Quaker Valley football program includes past service as head junior high coach and assistant varsity coach from 2017 to 2022. He also served as president of the Quaker Valley Football Boosters and youth football organization, building relationships and trust within the community. Most recently, he also coached middle school softball for the district.

Coach Eshenbaugh’s philosophy is centered around the holistic development of student-athletes, stating that his focus is always on “people first, stellar students second, fierce athletes third.”

“I am extremely thrilled to return what has always felt like home, the support of the community has been positively overwhelming. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we’re already seeing positive results. We're going to build a team that is resilient, disciplined, and plays with heart,” said Coach Eshenbaugh.

In addition to his coaching career, Eshenbaugh brings leadership experience from the private sector, currently serving as Operations and HR Director at Johnstone Supply.

Quaker Valley looks forward to the next chapter in its football program under Coach Eshenbaugh’s guidance.
