Quaker Valley School District is proud to welcome Mrs. Karyn Dobda as the Director of Innovation and Strategic Initiatives. The Quaker Valley School Board approved Dobda’s hire at a legislative meeting on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
Dobda comes to Quaker Valley with 28 years of experience as a professional educator. For the past eight years she served the North Allegheny School District in an administrative capacity as the Coordinator of Online Learning and Professional Development. Prior to her most recent position, she was a math teacher at North Allegheny Intermediate High School and Hopewell Area High School, respectively.
She has presented at several regional, state, and national conferences on the topics of innovation and educational technology.
A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Dobda has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education. She also holds a master’s degree in Mathematics from Youngstown State University and a masters of educational administration from California University of Pennsylvania.
At Quaker Valley, Dobda will oversee the District’s comprehensive planning process, along with numerous initiatives related to educational technology. Mrs. Dobda will join the Quaker Valley School District on or before December 17, 2018.
