Fifth and sixth grade teams from the Quaker Valley Middle School and Osborne and Edgeworth Elementary Schools participated in the annual CalcuSolve math competition hosted by Duquesne University on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Students from school districts throughout the region competed in this event that was sponsored by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit.
The competition included nine rounds of very challenging math problems. Seven problems were solved individually, and two questions were answered as a group. Awards were given for outstanding individual and team performances. Sixth grader, Henry Zutter, earned third place for his individual score.
