Overview

The Quaker Valley Sports Hall of Fame is an independent division of the Quaker Valley Athletic Department. The organization is a self-sufficient operation that relies on private contributions to fund activities, which include a banquet and a Hall of Fame weekend. The goal of the QVSHOF is to honor individuals and teams that are representative of the great accomplishments and heritage of Quaker Valley athletics.

Mission Statement

The mission of the QVSHOF is to honor individuals and teams who have demonstrated athletic success during or after their enrollment at Quaker Valley High School or individuals who have made significant contributions to the Quaker Valley community. The QVSHOF also plan to supplement and improve the athletic programs and facilities of the Quaker Valley School District.

Background

A group led by former Quaker Valley coach and teacher Sam Lofaso founded the Quaker Valley Sports Hall of Fame. They inducted their first class in August of 1997. There were seven classes from 1997-2003. Mr. Lofaso’s committee disbanded after the 2003 banquet. In February 2012, the Quaker Valley Athletic Department announced the reforming of the Quaker Valley Sports Hall of Fame, and the Class of 2012 was inducted in September. There were no inductees from 2020-2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Hall of Fame inductions then resumed with the class of 2023.
