Battle of the Books

The Battle of the Books is a yearly competition. Students in grades 4 and 5 form teams. Each team has 5 students. The students can be from Edgeworth Elementary, Osborne Elementary, Sewickley Academy, St. James School, or home-schooled.

Each team reads 15 books. The book titles are chosen by Rita Crawford from the Sewickley Public Library. The books represent different genres. On battle night, the students are asked questions about the books. The contest usually takes place in April of each year.
